Duane Dewey is President and Chief Executive Officer of Trustmark National Bank and Trustmark Corporation. Mr. Dewey joined Trustmark in 2003 as President of Wealth Management. He brought with him an extensive background in Corporate Banking, Retail Banking and Community Banking.

Throughout 2006-2018, he assumed additional management responsibility for the Bank’s Commercial Real Estate, Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury Management and Insurance divisions as well as regional duties in the Houston Market and Central Mississippi. In 2019, Duane was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Trustmark National Bank and assumed additional management oversight of Trustmark’s Mortgage Division.

In 2020 Duane was named President and Chief Operating Officer adding new responsibilities of Information Technology, Human Resources and Marketing. Effective January 1, 2021 Mr. Dewey was named President and Chief Executive Officer for Trustmark National Bank and Trustmark Corporation.

Mr. Dewey was elected to the Board of Directors of Trustmark Corporation and Trustmark National Bank in 2020.

Mr. Dewey has served and continues to serve on numerous nonprofit boards including as board member and past chair for St. Dominic’s Foundation, State of Mississippi board member and past chair for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has served as board member and past chair of Jackson Preparatory School as well as a founding chair of Jackson Preparatory School’s Global Leadership Institute. He is also a past member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at Louisiana State University’s E. J. Ourso College of Business. Mr. Dewey is an active participant with the American Bankers Association and the Midsized Bank Coalition of America He currently serves on the Mississippi Bankers Association Board of Directors as well as numerous Mississippi Economic Council related boards.

Prior to joining Trustmark in 2003, Duane served as Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Provident Financial Advisors in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sarasota, Florida. His experience in the financial services industry also includes fourteen years with Bank of America where he worked in Corporate Banking, serving clients in the Dallas, Texas area followed by time working in metropolitan Washington, D.C. area as Senior Vice President of the bank’s Private Clients Group.

Duane earned his BS and MS degrees in Finance at Louisiana State University. He is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina and the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Duane played professional baseball with the Kansas City Royals organization.
