Laurel Machine & Foundry Expanding Operations in Laurel

Jackson, Miss. – Industrial manufacturing company Laurel Machine & Foundry is expanding its manufacturing services in Jones County to meet the growing demand for its services in Mississippi. The project is a $3,140,500 corporate investment and will create at least seven jobs.

Laurel Machine & Foundry offers a variety of industrial and manufacturing services, including computer numerical control and manual machining, plate and structural fabrication, metal processing and iron casting. The expansion includes the construction of a 20,000-square-foot machining facility and a 7,500-square-foot warehouse, as well as the purchase and installation of new equipment.

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program.

Established in Jones County in 1904, Laurel Machine & Foundry is one of the oldest manufacturing companies in Mississippi. The company expects to complete the expansion within one year and plans to fill the new jobs within three years.
