The Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) is the voice of business in Mississippi. As the State Chamber of Commerce, not only do we work to represent business interests at the State Capitol, we also operate TWO education programs in communities across the state via the Public Education Forum. The programs include: MS Scholars (STEM Focused) and MS Scholars Tech Master (Career/Technical Skills Focused). The MS Scholars Tech Master program encourages high school kids to pursue and meet specific standards in a tech-prep course of study so they are job ready in both mind-set and skill-set upon high school graduation. This program is helping prepare our young people for success in life and in key jobs in your community or place of business.
