Ways to Help Mississippi's Tornado Victims

Volunteer Mississippi is asking private citizens not to self-deploy. They will work to match unaffiliated volunteers with affiliated groups on the ground when the time is right. If you would like to donate water or resources the Rolling Fork Civic Center is open to receive them.

Relief Funds Established to Assist Tornado Victims

Heart of the Delta Foundation

Several Mississippi based Banks have provided more than $100,000 to assist those impacted by the tornado outbreak across the state in late March.

The Heart of the Delta Foundation will be collecting contributions to help in the continued relief efforts in Rolling Fork, Silver City and other parts of the Delta. The Heart of the Delta Foundation will work closely with local organizations and community leaders to determine how to appropriate funds where they are needed most.

The Mississippi Bankers Association is working with banks that are helping with the Foundation, and individual donations are also being accepted. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas has also pledged to match up to $250,000 in donations.

Amory/Monroe Disaster Relief Fund

The CREATE Foundation and United Way of Northeast Mississippi have established the Monroe County Disaster Relief Fund to assist the citizens of Monroe County impacted by the March 24th tornado. One Hundred percent of contributions made will go to support recovery efforts. CREATE and United Way will work with city and county governments and nonprofit agencies to provide assistance.

Individuals and companies can donate to the Monroe County Disaster Relief Fund online at www.createfoundation.com or www.unitedwaynems.org, or call 662-841-9133. Contributions can be mailed to United Way at PO Box 334, Tupelo, MS 38802, or CREATE Foundation at PO Box 1053, Tupelo, MS 38802.

SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Businesses and Residents of Mississippi
Affected by Severe Storms, Straight-Line Winds and Tornadoes

Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to businesses and residents in Mississippi following the announcement of a Presidential disaster declaration due to damages from severe storms, straight-line winds and tornadoes on March 24-25.
