Marvin Dickey, Jr. is a 1989 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Public Administration, and was also a four-year letterman in football at the University of Mississippi. Before coming on in October 1, 2016 at Southern MS Planning and Development District, he was administering Long Term Workforce Funds for down payment money for the last six years for a private real estate developer. He also worked in Banking and Finance for over 15 years. Marvin is a lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS.
At Southern MS Planning and Development District, Marvin is a Loan Fund Officer, where he receives funding from EDA (U.S. Economic Development Administration) and MDA (MS Development Authority) to administer Revolving Loan Fund through 4 programs providing loans to start-up or existing businesses. He is also the EEOC Officer (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and the HIPPA Security Officer (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
