LaShetta Wilder

LaShetta Wilder has worked 12 years at the MDOC. She has worked as Correctional Services Aide II, Vocational Counselor, and Vocational Education Director. She is currently the Statewide Director of Re-entry and Pre-Release Services for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Originally from Alabama, Wilder relocated to Mississippi to attend Jackson State University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Criminology.
As director of Re-entry and Pre-Release Services, LaShetta works with transitional housing programs and various agencies, such as Mississippi Department of Medicaid, Mississippi Department of Employment Security, and the Social Security Administration, assisting returning citizens with their reentry needs.
LaShetta has been a member of the Mississippi Association of Professionals in corrections since 2008. She also serves as the Membership Chairperson for MAPC.
