Kristi Plotner

Kristi R. Plotner, LCSW joined the Mississippi Physician Health Program as Executive Director in 2017 after a career in state government. She served as Deputy Commissioner for the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services from 2016-2017. There she performed an integral role in the ongoing process of transforming the state’s child welfare agency into a stand-alone agency created by the Mississippi Legislature in 2016.

Mrs. Plotner served various roles at Division of Medicaid where she worked on policy issues and program development for mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disabilities and people with physical disabilities for nearly 20 years.

Mrs. Plotner received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, FL and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She served on social work licensure board for eight years, four as Board Chair. She lives in Madison, MS with her husband and two children.
