Dr. Suzana BrownDr. Suzi Brown is the Executive Vice President of Institutional Advancement with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Dr. Brown began her career at MGCCC 18 years ago as an English professor and moved into administration in 2016, first serving as a Dean of Business Services and then as Dean of Instruction at the Jefferson Davis campus. She has been in her current position since January, 2019.
Dr. Brown holds degrees in Paralegal Studies (B.A.), English (M.A.), and Higher Education Administration (Ph.D.) from The University of Southern Mississippi and minored in both Instructional Design and Research.
Prior to joining MGCCC, Dr. Brown owned and operated a franchise that provided supplemental education to students in the K-12 arena.
Dr. Brown serves on the Biloxi Chamber Board and is actively involved in community events that support students and education. She is married with two children and three grandchildren and resides in Jackson County.
