Scott Tollison serves as Provost / Vice President for Academic Affairs at Mississippi University for Women. Prior to his service as Provost, Dr. Tollison served as Dean of the College of Business and Professional Studies. In these capacities, he worked closely with colleagues to launch a new online MBA program as well as an undergraduate concentration in Health Care Management, enter six culinary partnerships with community colleges, and enhance pathways for community college transfer students to pursue bachelor’s degrees through online delivery and the acceptance of technical coursework. Collectively, these actions led to a 30% increase in College enrollment. Before joining the MUW faculty 15 years ago, he served as a Computer Network Technology instructor at East Mississippi Community College. A native of West Point, Ms., he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information systems and a doctorate in instructional systems and workforce development from Mississippi State University.
