Since 2010, the Greater Jackson Chamber has offered discounted trips to individuals interested in traveling internationally. The Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership has partnered with Aventura World to organize “A Cultural Tour of Egypt, The Land of the Pharaohs” from April 26-May 5, 2019.
We invite you to join us on this journey to Egypt, a nation of biblical proportions and epic history. This trip is open to all chamber members, families, friends, as well as non- members who are interested in visiting Egypt next spring.
Travelers will visit attractions such as: the Great Pyramid of Giza, the iconic Sphinx, the Valley of the Kings, the temples of Karnak & Luxor, the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb, the unfinished Obelisk & Temple of Philae, the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo, a tour of Cairo, and much more. Travelers will also sail the majestic Nile River (4 day cruise) between Aswan and Luxor on one of the deluxe Sakkara Nile cruise ships. Furthermore, travelers will receive in-depth learning on the local economy- social systems, interaction with locals such as a visit to a local bakery, a tour of Papyrus Institute and a discussion by a renowned Egyptologist.
Based on double occupancy, the Early Bird price of $3,399 (plus $150 taxes and fees) includes round trip airfare from Jackson to Cairo International Airport, deluxe accommodations, deluxe tour buses, 15 meals ( 9 buffet breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 4 dinners), English speaking tour guides and fees for all attractions. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. This special price is now through October 26, 2019 for those who make a non-refundable deposit of $500; after that time the cost is $3,499 (plus $150 taxes and fees) based on double occupancy.
An optional Alexandria Extension Tour is available for $599 based on double occupancy or $848 for single occupancy and includes: deluxe hotel accommodations for 3 nights, 7 meals (consisting of 3 buffet breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners), scenic drive to Alexandria, and a full day tour of Alexandria.
