Golden Triangle
The MEC Golden Triangle Regional Round-Up was held on Thursday, January 22. Nearly 180 business and community leaders took part in the event, which focused on Mississippi’s economic competitiveness, educational achievement and workforce training, and healthy communities. In addition, there were discussion on transportation and utilizing the area’s natural resources to grow the economy.
Almost 42 percent of attendees believe a negative perception of the state’s image is the biggest roadblock Mississippi faces in economic development. Almost 81 percent believe highways and bridges should be the top priority when improving the state’s transportation infrastructure.
