Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves, gave remarks along with Dr. Jesse Smith, President, Jones County Junior College; Jay Williams, U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development; Michael Marshall Alternate Federal Co-Chairman, Delta Regional Authority; Jenifer Buford, Community Development Director, East Central Planning and Development District; Haskin Montgomery, Senator, MS State Senate; and Johnny Stringer, Representative, MS House of Representatives at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of Jasper County’s Workforce Training Center.
The new vocational and academic satellite facility for Jones County Junior college was built at a cost of $4.5 million. The facility is located at 3209 highway 15 in Bay Springs. Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves said, “This facility will have a long term impact on improving the lives of citizens who take advantage of it. The people of the entire region will benefit.”
