Leadership Mississippi Class of 2015 Holds
Laurel Session March 26 & 27
The Leadership Mississippi Class of 2015 recently held their session on technology in Laurel on March 26 & 27.
The Class vitisted Laurel Machine & Foundry, Jones County Junior College, Howard Industries’ Transformer Plant, GE Aviation’s Ellisville facility and the headquarters of Sanderson Farms. During the session, the class learned about the history and heritage of Jones County and the technological and industrial breakthroughs being made in the Pine Belt region.
While at Sanderson Farms, the class was greeted by Chairman and CEO Joe Sanderson and participated in a leadership training course with Robin Robinson, Director of Organization Development and Corporate Communication for Sanderson Farms and upcoming MEC Chair for 2016-2017. Robinson is also a past chair of Leadership Mississippi and the M.B. Swayze Foundation.
Alumni from the Pine Belt also gathered with the class at the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art for the Laurel Alumni Reception featuring a delicious BBQ dinner.
