Elizabeth Lawlor

Elizabeth Kennedy Lawlor joined Norfolk Southern’s Government Relations Department in January 2010 and serves as Resident Vice President.  Based in Montgomery, she oversees state legislative activities in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.  In her capacity with Norfolk Southern, Lawlor is Past President of the Mississippi Railroad Association, Treasurer of the Alabama and Tennessee Railroad Associations, and is a board member of the Louisiana Railroad Association.  Lawlor serves on Norfolk Southern’ WiNS Leadership Council, an internal corporate leadership development organization.  Nationally, she serves on the American Railroad Association’s State Relations Policy Committee.

Prior to joining the Thoroughbred Team, Lawlor was the Director of Legislative Affairs and Manager of Political Affairs at the Business Council of Alabama where she worked with BCA members, state legislators and various agency representatives on legislative and political issues, coordinated BCA’s outside or contract lobbyists, and served as a liaison to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. 

Lawlor has a master of public administration degree from Auburn University Montgomery and a bachelor degree in English from Birmingham-Southern College.  Active in her community, she is a 2007 graduate and current board member of Leadership Montgomery, an Assistant Cub Scout Pack Leader in the Boys Scouts of America, a Lay Eucharistic Minister at St. John’s Episcopal Church, an area coordinator in Montgomery for the BSC Alumni Association, and she volunteers with the Bear Exploration Center and Floyd Middle Magnet School PTAs, and with the Junior League of Montgomery.  She serves as President of Montgomery’s historical preservation organization, the Landmarks Foundation.  She is married to Jim Lawlor of Waterbury, Connecticut and they have three children, Collin (14), William (12) and Thomas (7).

 

Chip Morgan editChip Morgan is the Executive Vice President of Delta Council, a regional agricultural and economic development organization working on issues impacting almost every aspect of the Northwest Mississippi economy.  Morgan, a native of Oxford, Mississippi, graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1974 with a degree in Public Administration. 

He began his work with Delta Council in 1975 and was named to his current position in 1982.  As Executive Vice President of Delta Council, Morgan has served in numerous capacities as a policy analyst and spokersperson on public policy which affects the Delta Council region. 

Although Delta Council is often enlisted to address a wide range of regional issues and build consensus for action among area business and agricultural leaders, the primary focus of the organization has been in the areas of farm legislation, transportation programs, water resource projects, higher education, industrial financing, job development, and natural resource and environmental stewardship. 

Morgan is married to the former Connie Rodgers of Belzoni and they have two children, Trey Sandifer and Lindsey Sandifer Sheffield.  He attends Leland United Methodist Church.

Wilson Risinger has over 28 years of experience in the trucking Industry in a wide area of responsibilities.

In his current position as KLLM’s Vice President of Safety and Risk Management Mr. Risinger has total claims management responsibility including worker compensation. He is also heavily involved in managing KLLM’s insurance needs as well as having ultimate responsibility for Safety and Compliance. Mr. Risinger holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Banking and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi

KLLM is a Mississippi based nationwide, truckload, temperature control carrier that has been in business for 50 years. KLLM Transport Services headquarters is located in Jackson, MS.
