Kourtney Hollingsworth Inducted into William Carey University Hall of Fame

kourtney hollingsworthKourtney Hollingsworth (LM Class of 08-09) was inducted into the William Carey University Alumni Hall of Fame on April 12. The WCU Hall of Fame award is given to alumni who have distinguished themselves in the areas of their chosen field, their community, and their involvement with William Carey University.

Kourtney received an MBA from William Carey University in 2008. She currently serves as the State of Mississippi’s regional broadband coordinator and previously held positions at the Mississippi Center for Legal Services and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A United States Congressional Rainey Scholar, Kourtney also has served as AmeriCorps regional director for Boy Scouts of America and was a host for the Jamaicans for Justice radio program.

Kourtney has received numerous honors and awards including Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 and 50 Leading Business Women, the American Red Cross Hall of Fame, Pride of the Mississippi Pine Belt, the State of Mississippi Governor’s Give Award, National Business Leader under 50, and One World International Ambassador. She is one of the youngest persons selected to Leadership Mississippi and Leadership Jones County and was awarded the key to the City of Laurel.
